Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology
Board certified Female Pelvic Med & Reconstructive Surgery
I decided to pursue a career in medicine because I love science and helping people. This combination keeps me engaged and challenged. I strongly believe in Kaiser Permanente's model of coordinated, multispecialty care that offers patients outstanding care. I am continuously impressed with the excellent providers whom I am privileged collaborate with daily. I strive to provide sensitive, compassionate, and high-quality health care to women at all stages of life. I love helping them with difficult and complicated medical concerns and tailoring treatment plans to fit their needs, surgical or medical. My medical interests include women's health, pelvic floor disorders, urinary and bowel dysfunction, LGBTQ care, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery.
I am a Northwest native, and my parents and sister still live in Seattle. I went to college and medical school on the East coast; Pennsylvania and New York respectively. I loved my time there, but the West coast pulled me back. I met my husband in the San Francisco Bay area during my ob/gyn residency, and we decided to settle in the Pacific Northwest. We have 2 lovely daughters; they are the joy of my life. We love to travel and play outdoors. We have a difficult yet well-loved cat.
I enjoy being outdoors, running, hiking, biking, or just walking in my neighborhood. I love the mountains, lakes, rivers, and greenery of the Northwest. I also practice yoga, which calms and restores me. I stay centered and healthy by making sure I exercise at least 3 times per week. I try to avoid consuming added sugar. I also like gardening. Most all, I love being with my family. We try to visit my husband's family in Switzerland every year.
