Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology
Women's Health Provider
Ob/Gyn allows me to participate in daily challenges, as well as life-changing events that affect women. I love to travel and provide health care in developing countries with limited resources. I've performed surgery and taught low-tech cervical cancer screening techniques in beautiful places. I joined Kaiser Permanente because I believe in its mission of providing evidence-based care centered around patient needs. Here, physicians are incentivized by integrity and supported by excellent colleagues in all fields of medicine. My philosophy of care is to be a thorough and caring listener, and to offer options for care based on patient priorities and best practices. Women's health offers a variety of care that includes basic and preventive procedures that improve health and delivery methods for newborns. What's more, I can be present and involved with families as they evolve.
I was born in Miami, Florida, and made my way north and then west, with stops in Philadelphia, New York and Arizona - before settling in Seattle. I have a two-doctor household with three kids in various stages of launching, as well as supportive friends and colleagues.
I like to mix up my activity to keep it interesting. This includes yoga, biking, hiking and dancing. I love to read and watch documentaries. When I travel, I always prefer beach and warmth over anything cold. I enjoy swimming and scuba diving in beautiful tropical places. If it's cold, a good book, a fireplace, and friends that make me laugh are all I need. I stay motivated by trying to stay grateful and curious. I stray at times, of course, but I find that is how I find my way back.
