Board certified Plastic Surgery
I am a patient-focused provider who treats each person the same as I would a family member. I was inspired to become a plastic surgeon after learning about the amazing things that plastic surgery could do to help burn patients return to their lives. In addition to my medical work, I am proud of the charitable event I created, Dine out for BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness), which assists patients in need of breast reconstruction surgery. I also enjoy writing about my work in the Plastic Surgery Society.
I earned my medical degree from Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil, completed my residency in general surgery and a fellowship in plastic surgery from the Indiana University School of Medicine. I am a native Portuguese speaker and am happy to speak the language with patients. Born and raised in Brazil, I moved to the United States in 2004. After spending time in the Bay Area and West Virginia, I moved to Washington to make a home near my sister. I live with my husband and our daughter, Maya.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and meeting new people. I stay active and healthy by running, which also helps me to relieve stress. I also enjoy trying new types of food from around the globe.
