My Care Philosophy

In medical school, I became attracted to surgery and making an immediate impact in patient's lives, yet I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with patients. Mohs surgery, a technique used to treat skin cancer, is one of the few medical specialties that combine both of these aspects. Practicing as a Mohs surgeon has provided me with the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people who have incredible stories and interesting lives. I came here in 2009 because of the opportunity to join an organization that values the importance of high-quality patient-centered care. I'm fortunate to work with a wonderful team of colleagues who provide the best surgical care for our skin cancer patients.

About Me

I'm native to the Northwest, having grown up in Kenmore, Washington. I'm fortunate to live and practice in the community in which I grew up. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have three active children (twin daughters and a son) who keep us on our toes.

How I Thrive

I stay healthy by remaining optimistic yet realistic, and I believe empathy and humility are important tenets to live by. I enjoy swimming and find running to be a great stress release. When I'm not at work, I'm often shuttling my children to one of their various activities. I grew up attending the Washington Huskies football and basketball games with my family, and I keep this tradition alive with my children.
