Board certified Rheumatology
I am a compassionate provider who enjoys working with patients over time to improve outcomes and manage chronic illness. I work with adults with a number of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, scleroderma, vasculitis, and gout. I encourage patients to make lifestyle and dietary changes in addition to taking their medication to improve their health.
I was born in Northern California and moved throughout the country several times before settling in Spokane, Washington, where I live with my husband and 2 sons. I was inspired to become a physician to help people live their best lives and to give back to the community that I'm proud to call my home. I attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed my residency in rheumatology and internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the University Hospitals of Cleveland. I completed an integrative medicine fellowship through the Andrew Weil College of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and I am board certified in integrative medicine.
To stay healthy and active, I enjoy practicing yoga and spending time outdoors with my husband and sons hiking, skiing, kayaking, and camping. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and experiencing new cultures around the world, reading, knitting, and crafting. I stay inspired every day by my medical students and my patients.
