My Care Philosophy
I love taking care of the entire family, particularly obstetric and newborn/pediatric patients. It is my goal to build a strong relationship with my patients and serve as their family's health advocate. I love building relationships with my patients and am greatly honored to be allowed into their lives. My favorite aspect of being a family medicine physician is helping the entire family, from prenatal care to newborn to adolescent and then adult care. I am also interested in LGBTQ health and HIV care.
I am a fourth-generation Idaho native who attended school in Boston and Pittsburgh. I moved to Seattle for my residency training to be closer to my family and to live in the amazing Pacific Northwest. I've always enjoyed building relationships with people and helping them, combined with my natural love for science, led me to a career in medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente because I believe in its mission of providing quality, affordable care. I'm currently serving as the Northgate Clinic chief to help improve the patient experience and the lives of employees and providers at the clinic.
How I Thrive
I enjoy living in Capitol Hill and stay busy by playing sports, traveling and eating at new restaurants. I love playing sports, not only to stay fit, but also to hang out with friends and family. Travel is my other big passion and I'd love to attend all four tennis grand slam tournaments before I turn 50. I try to do something active every day both to stay fit and help my brain shut off. My relationships are my true inspiration.
