I enjoy almost every outdoor activity, including hiking, backpacking, boating, fishing, gardening, and many activities related to raising 2 wonderful, energetic children. Physical activity is how I stay healthy, motivated, and inspired. It also reduces stress. My early years in the Army National Guard exposed to me to a lifestyle of physical fitness: working out in a gym, swimming, running, cross-country skiing, and cycling. I've also accomplished many running, cycling, and endurance events, including 2 full Ironman Triathlons. I try to lead by example and show my kids that an active lifestyle is a healthy one.
