"Eyes are a beautiful and detailed part of the human body that can provide a view into someone's overall health."
I believe in providing holistic care. As an example, I try to help patients better understand and manage a particular eye condition as well as their general eye health. I also believe in treating people equally while understanding that everyone is different. This means providing as individualized care as possible. Empowering people to make their own health care decisions is also important to me. Sometimes people want to know what I recommend, and I will answer with what I would recommend to a family member or even myself.
Native to the Pacific Northwest, I moved to Spokane, Washington, for training in 2017 and was lucky to join Kaiser Permanente in 2019. Before that, I worked in multiple health care roles in various medical settings, which I feel added to a better overall understanding of health care.
I enjoy hiking and camping, traveling, drinking local coffee, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I strive to be a well-rounded individual, which means striking a healthy balance between being active and relaxing.
