My Care Philosophy

I've worked in the specialty of ophthalmology since I was in college. I love being able to help improve the quality of life for my patients by improving their vision. It's a privilege to care for them and establish strong doctor-patient relationships with them. I firmly believe that everyone should have high-quality, comprehensive access to health care. Good vision is an integral part of overall health. I look forward to working with a team of health care professionals to provide optimal care for all of my patients. Everyone has different eye care needs. I work with patients to provide care that revolves around their unique visual needs. I love connecting with my patients and seeing them year after year. I specialize in corneal disease and specialty fittings for contact lenses.

About Me

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of California, Berkeley, for my undergraduate studies. I did my medical training in Boston, Massachusetts. Now I'm excited to build my new life in the Pacific Northwest. My husband and I met in San Francisco, where my daughter and son were born.

How I Thrive

I'm an avid runner, and my husband and I have run marathons together. A California native, I love the sunshine. I enjoy hiking, and I look forward to exploring the Pacific Northwest. I also enjoy traveling abroad. To date, I've visited India, Nepal, Tanzania, and my home country of Burma. I believe that having an understanding of other cultures is a vital part of working with patients from various backgrounds. As a volunteer, I've spent time abroad, serving patients in Kenya, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and the Philippines.
