I take a patient-first approach to optometry with an emphasis on careful listening and personalized care. I enjoy getting to know my patients and developing relationships over time while treating and managing visual issues like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, eye infections, and eye injuries. I graduated from the University of Houston and completed my residency in optometry at the Eye Center of Texas. I am certified by the American Academy of Optometry.
Originally from Calgary, Canada, I studied and worked in a private practice in Houston for 7 years and now live with my family in Olympia, where we call home. I am happily married with one son and moved to the Pacific Northwest to raise him in an environment with access to outdoor activities. My own experience with nearsightedness inspired me to pursue a role in the medical field and to help others have the same feeling I had during my first optometrist visit and seeing the world with my first pair of eyeglasses.
