Through active listening and education, I strive to give patients an understanding of their vision health while addressing their individual questions and concerns. I enjoy getting to know patients on a personal level and caring for patients throughout their lives. My specialties include contact lenses, diabetic eye disease, chronic eye conditions, emergent eye conditions, dry eye disease, cornea transplants, and low vision.

About Me
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and first came to Washington -- where I now live with my wife and 2 daughters -- for school. I graduated from Pacific University and completed my residency at American Lake Veterans Administration Medical Center. I am certified by the American Academy of Optometry. Facing new clinical challenges and helping others to improve their health keeps me motivated to provide the highest-quality care every day. I am the local operations chief for Seattle area clinics, and I mentor young doctors as part of the Optometric Physicians of Washington. Joining a team of forward-thinking doctors at Washington Permanente Medical Group has helped me grow as a clinician and as a leader.
How I Thrive
In my free time, I enjoy photography, music, and traveling whenever possible. (My favorite destinations are Hawaii and Tahiti.) I stay healthy and happy by running, playing sports, coaching, and volunteering for my community. Most of all, I love spending time with my family.
