"I consider each patient as a gift, and I am so grateful to help them with their vision needs."
I consider each patient as a gift, and I am so grateful to help them with their vision needs. I believe it’s important to be kind, smile, and listen intently. I specialize in diabetic eye exams. I believe strongly in preventive medicine and appreciate how optometry fits into primary care in Kaiser Permanente’s model. I love the practice we have here and how we can offer the coordinated care for our patients. We can see their lab tests, medications, and past visits in order to be better educated on providing the best care for our patients. Every day, I’m thankful that I love what I do and for where I work.
In elementary school, I was chosen for a young astronauts program, which fostered my love for science and technology. When I developed an issue where my right eye turned inward, the physician that helped me with vision therapy to fix the condition was the first female doctor I’d ever had. She made me realize I could become a doctor too.
I am married and we have a son and a daughter. We love to travel to ski destinations, go camping, and do just about anything we can do as a family. Skiing and soccer are important to our family life, and we also stay active with mountain biking, hiking, swimming, running, and yoga.
